‘Bank robbery’ is a false alarm
A SUSPECTED bank robbery in Farnborough turned out to be a false alarm.
Police were spotted outside the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in Victoria Road on Tuesday July 22 at around 12.30pm, causing residents and shoppers to be concerned.
However, all was found to be in order after it was discovered the alarm had been triggered by mistake.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: "Officers were at the location following concerns raised by staff at the location but all was found to be in order.”
