It’s caused a bit of a stir with cinema chains and it remains to be seen whether people who already pay a monthly subscription fee for Disney+ will want to pay out a further £19.99 to watch Mulan at home with Premier Access before all subscribers. As for the film itself, it’s the story of a young Chinese woman who disguises herself as a warrior to try to save her father from being forced to join the army. From the trailers, it looks spectacular. ■ The noughties reboot of the cheesy 1970s sci-fi series has become an acclaimed cult classic and now comes to the Beeb with a double bill of the pilot episodes on Saturday night and all four series available as a boxset to stream on BBC iPlayer.
