YOUR LETTERS
Your thoughts on the wonderful world of gardening
FURTHER to your news item (AG, 13 May), regarding availability of peat-free compost, I thought you’d be interested to know that my local doorstep milkman sells peat-free compost as well as groceries.
I always buy mine from the milkman as it is a bit too heavy for me to carry, not having a car anymore. It’s dearer at £5 for a 40litre bag, as opposed to £4 for multi-purpose, but two bags of peatfree cost £9.

You’re on to a good thing there, Angela, perhaps this will catch on around the country!
