Shoot, root, flower and fruit

WHEN looking at a plant to determine its needs, remember the maxim ‘NPK=shoot, root, flower and fruit’. For foliage plants and leafy veg crops strong choose a nitrogen-rich feed (N) such as Sulphate of Ammonia. For root establishment look for high phosphorus feeds (K), bonemeal remains a great choice. For big flowers and lots of fruit look for high potassium feeds (P) such as Tomorite or Phostrogen Patio Plant Food.
