Taking pink cuttings

Propagation is so easy

-

1

In the morning, when the plant is ‘turgid’ or full of moisture, cut or pull off a healthy non-flowering shoot from a mature plant.

2

Trim the shoot below a leaf joint and strip away the lower leaves. Dip the cut end in hormone rooting gel or powder.

3

Insert the cuttings into a clay pot filled with a dampened mix of seed compost and perlite. Gently firm them in.

4

Seal the pot in a plastic bag and place it on a warm, light windowsill. Cuttings have taken when they start to grow.
