Nature’s opportunists
FOR a number of weeks I have been watching a pair of blue tits as they built their nest then reared their young in one of my bird boxes. I didn’t see the babies fledge but I have seen young blue tits in the garden. I was however surprised to see bees have now moved into the old nest only days after the birds moved out. This is obviously nature’s way of recycling!
When I was little we never recycled anything. But my 4-yearold niece is really good at knowing what can and can’t be recycled. I wonder, do other readers think recycling is a new idea?
