Snookered again
IN the last edition (AG, 27 May), there was an article asking readers if they get annoyed when Gardeners’ World is taken off air due to sports broadcasts.
As a long-time viewer of the show, I can confirm that this is most frustrating. It’s usual 30 minute/one hour slot is a weekly highlight for amateur gardeners like myself but its scheduling has become increasingly unpredictable in recent years due to the privilege bestowed upon the nation’s beloved sporting events.
The obvious solution would be to air the show on a different channel where viewers can be sure of a regular time slot and be spared having to sit through to the last frames of the World Snooker Championship.
