Woodland tunnel vision
WHILE out walking in Shropshire I was amazed at the determination of nature to grow where you would not expect it. As you can see from the attached photo, a fairly large tree is growing above a bridge with barely 2ft of soil below it but somehow it has managed to grow to a healthy size like its neighbours. In nature, it would appear that where there is a will there is a way.
It’s a contrast to our own attempts to grow plants in good conditions, lavishing them with care – yet they still often fail!
