AI suggest that you eradicate the brambles by painting them with Vitax SBK Tough Weedkiller. Apply it now. Based on triclopyr, it is channelled into roots and shoots, which it kills.

If the brambles are well established with an extensive root system, you will have to reapply the herbicide if further shoots appear.
