Rieger’s Kansas City Whiskey
Peggy
Nose: Warm caramel and rose hips on first nose. Vanilla pudding with hints of black pepper. Subtle peach and cherry fruit notes. Oak overlay.
Palate: Brown sugar with dark chocolate, cinnamon spice and apple cider. Anise and buttered toffee.
Finish: Surround-sound on the palate with delicious leather.
Comments: Enjoyable on the sip and warm enough to satisfy those that like a little spice in their life.

Nose: Vanilla with sweet cherry, like fortified wine. Then brown sugar with sweet oak. A little cinnamon can be detected.
Palate: Cherry is replaced by dark fruit, figs or dates. The whiskey is herbal rather than fruity. Add to that some corn husk.
Finish: The dark fruit persists before drying to light oak tannins and mild pepper spice.
Comments: Leave this one in the glass for a while to help the dark fruit roll out.
