Nose: Slight medicinal note. Soft vanilla seeps through. Red pepper and cardamom for the spice with floral accents and pear.

Palate: Cane sugar dominates until the white pepper heat. An unusual spiced pecan combination, strings of oak and wood sugars.

Finish: Lingers on the tongue and the oak pulls to the forefront with some tinges of cinnamon and hay.

Comments: A unique Bourbon flavor that has some originality.

Nose: Grain, as in a bulk cereal bin, followed by faint caramel and freshly mown grass.

Palate: Sweeter on the palate than the nose. More cornbread than corn flakes. Berry fruit paired with sweet caramel. A fleeting sprinkle of cinnamon.

Finish: Lingering flavors are sweet, light brown sugar and fruit. Peppery with no bitter tannins.

Comments: The sip is more balanced than the nose. More aging could help it to develop greater complexity and depth.
