12lb tinca from neglected lake

COLIN Hebb fished an overgrown lake that doesn’t see many anglers – and nabbed this 12lb 4oz tench.

The specialist from Cottingham, East Yorks, cut a small opening in the reeds before flicking out two grains of legered corn presented on a size 6 hook attached to 15lb coated braid.

Switching to breadflake on the hook, he added a 4lb 11oz fish from the lake in the north of the UK.
