RITAIN’S match an­glers have given a mas­sive thumbs-up to the lat­est big event on the cal­en­dar. more, we re­ally couldn’t.

“Feedermasters has shown that the feeder can be just as deadly as the pole or wag­gler, rather than a crude way to fish. The event has given an­glers who are not nec­es­sar­ily house­hold names the chance to shine in the fi­nal – it is truly a se­ries any­one can win.”

What has also been in­ter­est­ing in the first year of the event is the pop­u­lar­ity of large nat­u­ral wa­ters where bream dom­i­nate.

Fish­eries in­clud­ing Carr Mill Dam, South­fields Reser­voir and Ferry Mead­ows have sold out quickly, and Lee reck­ons that’s down to the dearth of big events held on this type of wa­ter.

“These places don’t have na­tional com­pe­ti­tions held on them but I’ve been amazed at their pop­u­lar­ity,” he con­tin­ued.
