BAG 100lb AT DECOY LAKES
THIS prolific match and pleasure venue is showing why it’s one of the best commercial fisheries in the UK – with anglers of all abilities taking well over 100lb of mixed fish from numerous lakes.
On the Strip Lakes you can catch F1s, barbel and ghost carp every chuck on pellet and caster shallow in open water and on the deck next to the reeds in the margins.
On the 31-peg Beastie Lake the resident carp have also come shallow and you can catch them on the pellet waggler in open water from the island pegs. Four Islands and Six Islands Lakes are also producing big weights in open matches. Fish caster shallow and tight up to the islands to catch plenty of F1s and small carp, switching to dead maggots over groundbait in the margins late on for a run of bigger carp to 8lb.
