Monster Carp hits the spot with this big fan

I RECENTLY watched the first episode of Monster Carp on ITV4 and I was really impressed.

It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but programmes like this try to promote our sport to potential newcomers and shake off the stigma that angling is a dull pastime, solely for old men.

Ali Hamidi once again showed plenty of passion, having a laugh with his mates but taking the fishing itself very seriously.

I’ll stay tuned for the rest of the series, and I reckon the viewing figures will make pleasant reading. David Broughton, Workington
