Bough Beech serves up taste of sport to come
KENT water Bough Beech will host the final of this event in September, and it served up a good qualifier with some impressive leading weights.
It was topped by local lad Brian Nesbitt, who booked his final place with 37-0-0 of bream and skimmers taken on groundbait feeder with worm and maggot.
The same approach served runner-up Kev Rowles well as he took 24-1-0 of bream and skimmers, but sadly he was in the same zone as Brian and so didn’t make it through.
Fellow qualifiers were Geoff Vallance and Jamie Harrison.
Result: 1 B Nesbitt, APR, 37-0-0; 2 K Rowles, Devizes, 24-1-0; 3 G Powell, Maver, 23-7-0; 4 A Wakelin, Preston Innovations, 18-11-0.
