EAST BANK (DAM END)

-

This bank is rarely used by pleasure anglers looking for carp, as it is a good 15-20 minute walk away from the car park. However, small club matches are held here for those looking for a secluded experience. Around 10ft-12ft of water can be found in this part of the reservoir, which shelters the carp well. The bomb and pellet or boilie will find these fish plus the odd tench to 5lb, although the roach and perch sport tends to be better here. Anglers using cage and maggot feeders cast short down the shelf or at range into the deeper water will find the fish. Putting out a bed of maggots and groundbait initially will pay off, with 30lb nets of silverfish possible using this tactic. Expect the odd perch to 2lb and roach to 1lb to grace the net to add bonus fish during your session.
