Job done as Rowan banks this 4lb tench
THE words “I got what I came for” were uttered in relief by youngster Rowan Boyd shortly after he banked this stunning tench estimated to weigh around 4lb.
The Bournemouth rod was fishing Hampshire’s Hordle Lakes with his dad and brother – but stole the show when this fine tinca devoured his hookbait.
Rowan fished as quietly as possible just a metre from the bank with luncheon meat over a bed of groundbait, corn, maggots and pellets.
Well done, Rowan!
