SHORT RIGS AND BALANCED BAITS

CARP feed heads-down on particles, which can lead to biteoffs if hooklengths are too long.

To avoid this, use rigs no longer than 6ins. The weight of the hook can mean that the hookbait requires more suction to pick up, and so is missed.

To prevent this, add a small piece of rig foam to counteract the weight of the hook.
