Please don’t judge all commercials after one bad experience

I’M sorry to read of the bad experience of Angling Times reader Patrick Burns at a commercial fishery (July 26 issue).

Thankfully not all commercial fisheries leave a bitter taste in the mouth, and my local day-ticket water, Oasis Lakes in Lincolnshire, is a fine example of a top class complex.

The fishery is kept in pristine condition by the hard working owners and staff, and most anglers using the lakes act responsibly on the bank. Modern, clean facilities contribute to a pleasurable angling experience. Philip Ward, North Somercotes
