Dealer had what it takes to be a success

-

IT’S rare these days to hear of tackle shops that are flourishing.

But Keith Lamming of East Coast Tackle has proved that if you have the right attitude and business acumen, you can not only survive, but thrive in the modern climate.

Sitting behind a counter, having very little stock and showing no interest in your customers is a sure-fire way to end up facing liquidation, and tackle shop staff who refuse to abandon their outdated attitude are paying dearly.

I visited East Coast Tackle a while back when I was on holiday in the area. Although Keith had never met me before, he was incredibly helpful and actually showed an interest in my fishing and where I was going – something of a rarity these days.

Such fantastic customer service goes a long way to gaining a good reputation and positive reviews that quickly travel by word of mouth. I hope Keith enjoys his retirement and that whoever buys the shop will keep running it to the same high standards. Nick Haines, Blackburn
