Family outing nets 3lb bream

SIX-year-old Conor Darby is loving his summer’s fishing with his dad and grandad in the lakes around his home town of Kettering, in Northants.

One of his latest outings saw him catch his biggest fish so far, this 3lb bream from Grendon Pond at Castle Ashby Fishery.

During the afternoon session with his dad, Conor also landed a crucian of 1lb 10oz. Both fish fell to waggler and maggot tactics.
