BRICKYARD FISHERY, LOUTH, N LINCS

FLEETS DAM FISHERY, BARNSLEY, YORKS

The maggot feeder is catching some pretty impressive bags of roach and bream here, especially at 30 yards range. It pays to have another rod set up with the cage feeder, groundbait and worm on the hook if you’re being plagued by smaller fish. Contact: 01226 292579 Postcode: S71 1NL

GREAVES END FISHING POND, EASTRINGTON, E YORKS

LAKEMORE FISHERIES, CREWE, CHESHIRE,

LINDHOLME LAKES AND COUNTRY PARK, DONCASTER, S YORKS

The 85-peg Bonsai Lake is fishing its socks off, with anglers taking F1s averaging 2lb on caster and 4mm pellet shallow at 11m. Alternatively, fishing worm or corn at 14m up to the island is also proving to be a successful tactic for the F1 stocks. Contact: 01427 872905 Postcode: DN9 1LF

REDWOOD PARK, YORK, N YORKS

Big tench are feeding well on the Redwood Lake and taking corn and worm hookbaits quite readily. The lake is rich in reeds and lily pads and these are hotspots for the biggest fish. There are also some good perch to 3lb which love dead red maggots and whole lobworms fished on the float close in. Often you’ll pick up the perch while tench fishing. RUFFORD MEADOWS FISHERY, RUFFORD, LANCASHIRE

WOODHOUSE GRANGE FISHERY, HATFIELD, S YORKS

Alternate between the long and short pole on the Cobble Lake for carp to 5lb and bream to 4lb. Use a 4mm pellet and feed softened pellets of the same size after every fish. You can also put together a 20lb bag of ide by fishing caster shallow with sloppy pellet feed. Start off by fishing 3ft deep and keep the feed going in via the catapult. You’ll find that the fish will come shallower as the day goes on. Contact: 07802 518612 Postcode: DN7 6DU
