Another bumper attendance was spread across the Canal lakes and it was peg 2 on Canal 1 that produced the winner. Ian Lathom knocked out 110-8-0 of F1s and ide on maggot fished shallow down the middle at 6m. Steve Openshaw, a little further around the lake on peg 11, finished second with 97-1-0 of carp, ide and F1s. He used caster shallow at 6m and pellet in the margins.
