New gear from the T&G show
Stand-out quality in new Coventry venue
IT WAS all change at the annual Tackle & Guns trade show as it moved to a new venue – Coventry’s Ricoh Arena – and broke with its traditional mid-October dates, seen by many as the culmination of the angling trade show season.
For most retailers in attendance at this trade-only event, the main attraction has always been to witness angling’s biggest names unveiling all their latest equipment under one roof.
This year many of the top players were conspicuous by their absence. However, all was not lost as there was still plenty of great new kit on display, and it gave those who did attend a chance to steal a march on their competitors.
On view were some super new rods and reels from Shimano, arguably the best seatbox ever seen – launched by Frenzee – and a new Terry Hearn bait from Dynamite.
