On most carp lakes, the vast ma­jor­ity of an­glers present will be us­ing 15mm boilies, and it doesn’t take pres­surised carp long to wise up to the dan­ger associated with these lit­tle round, uni­formly-sized balls, es­pe­cially af­ter be­ing caught on them a few times. Sim­ply drop­ping down to a 10mm boilie, or even a dou­ble 10mm boilie hook­bait, can of­ten be all it takes to get the carp to lower their guard.
