FOLLOW FRESH WINDS

-

CARP love to follow a new wind, especially if it’s in a totally different direction from where it’s been blowing for several weeks or more.

At this time of year even the ‘dreaded’ easterly winds can be productive. However, don’t fish too close to the bank, as the carp will often be sat 20 or 30 yards away from the bank, where the undertow has carried the food items. Check the strength of the undertow by throwing a few small baits into the water a few yards from the bank and seeing which way they fall.
