BIG CARP OVER THE BORDER

AT SWANSEA’S White Springs Fishery, the aptly-named Specimen Lake has seen a string of 20lb-plus fish hitting the bank, and Anthony Needs’ recent session saw three fish over the 30lb mark landed in 24 hours.
From peg 10, Anthony fished boilies for fish of 31lb 3oz, 33lb 10oz and 33lb 12oz, breaking his personal best twice. Pegs 6A and 6 have also shown plenty of form, with boilies and pop-ups on chod rigs taking carp to 29lb 8oz.
From the Big Pit’s New Cabin, plenty of runs from fish from 15lb to 22lb have fallen to
White Springs’ own Squid and Octopus boilies.
On the Canal and Match Lakes, nets of carp and mixed fish between 50lb and 80lb have been featuring – with pellet and caster fished shallow working the best for the better weights.
