Start on the Method feeder tight to the island, using a rod of at least 12ft so that you get really tight to the feature. Use a 0.20mm hooklength to help beat everything that swims.”

Tactics: “Start by chucking the Method feeder but keep trickling a few pellets in by hand around 6m out. Give this short line time to settle but be prepared to find carp well into double figures in the last couple of hours.”

Baits: “Pellets are hard to beat here at the moment. Use dampened 2mm micros around the Method, with a 6mm or 8mm banded pellet as hookbait.”
