Three casts, three bites, two bests!

LESLEY Winks broke two personal bests during a session on the Warwickshire Avon – with the capture of a 14lb 1oz barbel and a 6lb 4oz chub (above).

After fishing most of the day without a bite, a change to a longer hook-link and two 20mm Sticky Baits Krill boilies produced an instant reaction – with the two specimens as well as a 5lb chub falling in just 30 minutes.

“The usual pellets and boilies weren’t working, so I changed to a long hook-link with bigger baits, and caught all three fish in successive casts,” said Lesley.
