IF YOU want plenty of bites and a net full of skimmers and F1s, how about a trip to High Heyes Fishery this weekend?
The Lancashire venue’s Lake 1 is on fire at the moment, with match and pleasure anglers sacking up with fish on a variety of methods.
The recent Lancashire Winter League open held on the pool saw dozens of anglers recording nets to over 50lb.
The lake is very deep, but start on the deck and if you get liners, come shallow.
Top tactic now seems to be the long pole and pellet for the F1s and skimmers. The peg with the mini island is a good fish-holding area if you have the chance to get on it.
