Wag and mag finds nearly 50lb of chub
THE Avon around Stratford doesn’t hold many big matches any more, but that could just be about to change after an impressive qualifier around the town.
Fishing from peg 11 on Seven Meadows, winner Martin Ward took a hefty 49-0-0 of chub to 4lb on waggler and
maggot tactics to go through to the final.
Local tackle dealer Alan Stephens also made the final after finishing second with 25-2-0 of chub on waggler and maggot off peg 59. Joining them will be final zone winner Mike Bedding.
