BARBEL, CHUB, ROACH

A mammoth 16lb 1oz barbel was caught recently from here, along with some big chub. It’s fairly shallow and quite fastflowing, so strong tackle is required. Some anglers have been catching barbel using the classic combo of hemp and caster. Roach to nearly 2lb have shown to anglers trotting maggots.
