World Feeder Champ dom­i­nates in Ire­land

THIS cash-rich event drew top an­glers from around Europe, and it was for­mer World Feeder Cham­pion Steve Ringer who came out on top to take the €5,000 prize plus over £2,000 of Sen­sas tackle as he fin­ished the five days of ac­tion with 52-010.

Ir­ish rod Neil Mazurek was sec­ond on 46-070, with Eng­land man Dean Barlow tak­ing third on 45-200.

Steve be­gan his week with

9-300 of roach and a few skim­mers on cage feeder and sin­gle mag­got at short range from his peg on the Green­way sec­tion, the same area and ap­proach giv­ing him 6-900 on day two. The third match pro­duced 12-200 of roach and the odd skim­mer be­fore Steve kept up the pres­sure with 10-400 on day four from the grave­yard sec­tion. The final day put him on ‘The Con­crete’ and he saved the best un­til last, tak­ing more than 200 roach on feeder and mag­got for 13-200.
