HERE­FORD DAA WYE CHAMPS (SUN) River Wye (140 pegs)

DE­SPITE the river be­ing low and clear, it pro­duced an as­tound­ing re­sult, with 50lb fin­ish­ing nowhere and a mas­sive 125-6-0 win­ner for Pete Gould­ing – the lo­cal rod fi­nally win­ning the tro­phy af­ter years of try­ing!

Bridge and fished wag­gler and mag­got to land chub to 4lb. An­other lo­cal, Lee Pritchard, came in sec­ond with 90-7-0 of chub, again on wag­gler and mag­got tac­tics, from peg 95 at Eign.
