DESPITE the river being low and clear, it produced an astounding result, with 50lb finishing nowhere and a massive 125-6-0 winner for Pete Goulding – the local rod finally winning the trophy after years of trying!
Pete drew peg 84 near Eign
Bridge and fished waggler and maggot to land chub to 4lb. Another local, Lee Pritchard, came in second with 90-7-0 of chub, again on waggler and maggot tactics, from peg 95 at Eign.
