The 30-peg Road Lake, 20m wide and surrounded by vegetation, has seen recent match weights close to 100lb, mainly carp to 10lb with skimmers and brown goldfish. Fish the pole or waggler at around 14m in 4ft of water, feeding bread, pellet or maggot. At this time of year, however, the bomb fished just shy of the island with a banded 8mm pellet from pegs 20-29 finds the carp. Roach to 2lb can be taken too by fishing caster shallow and on the deck at 5m.
