CLEAR WATER – WORMS
Predators such as perch are renowned for their ability to hunt by sight, and are in their element when the river is clear. With this in mind, a bait that is lively and will give itself away to the fish in an instant is key to success. Chop up a batch of dendrobaenas and either cup them in if pole fishing or use a bait dropper when using rod-and-line tactics. Fish a lobworm hookbait over the top of the loosefeed and the combination of scent and wriggling worms is guaranteed to attract big perch into the area.
