Nash’s 2017 kit We go inside its tackle den to reveal all the new gear

James Furness visits its Essex base for a look at 2017’s new gear for carp anglers

-

NASH has unveiled its new gear for 2017, which will see upgrades to two of the brand’s most iconic ranges. The H-Gun range is being replaced by the new KNX range of products. The aim is to deliver many of the features found on top-end Nash products at an affordable price. Whether you’re new to the sport or thinking about making the step up to targeting specimen carp for the first time, the KNX range covers everything you’re likely to need. There’s also a host of new tackle from the Essex-based firm including bivvies, Pursuit rods, Indulgence beds and luggage.

1 AIR CRADLES

Nash originated the carp cradle concept which suspended carp off the ground to reduce dangers during unhooking and handling. Air Cradles now take carp care another step further. The base spreads the weight of the carp, so fish up to 50kg are suspended safely off the ground.

Air Cradles use three heavy-duty inflatable tubes, two supporting the base material for ground clearance and the third providing a secure area to contain a carp for unhooking. They inflate quickly using the supplied foot pump and pack down smaller than the traditional metal framed cradles.

2 INDULGENCE BEDS

The popular Sleep Systems have received a few design tweaks to improve comfort and create a smaller packdown size. The mesh bases have been replaced with an enhanced central lumbar support which eliminates mattress sag over time.

There are 5 Season and 4 Season ranges with five different models in each. The 5 Season features twin layer deluxe zipped 3 and 2 Season duvets which combine for ultimate protection and will keep you warm on the coldest of nights. The bottom duvet layer features body baffles to help retain body heat.

3 TITANS

The iconic Titan bivvy has been a common sight around carp lakes for the last 20 years and has built a reputation as one of the strongest bivvies of all time.

But with advances in technology, manufacturing and materials it was seen as time by Nash to give the Titan a facelift.

Four models in the range include super compact overnight shelters (Titan TC and TC Pro) and larger versions for UK and European session anglers (Titan T1 and T2).

New features include an upgraded glass-filled nylon block design for reduced weight and enhanced rigidity, a flat-back frame to create a flat back to tuck bedchairs away and improve usuable space, rain gutters to aid water run-off, legs fitted to the cover to achieve a free standing rigid design without the tension straps, and an internal light hanging hook beneath the central block.

Price: £384.99-£769.99 4 INDULGENCE CHAIRS Four new chairs are added to the Indulgence range. The Hi-Back Camo (£164.99) offers the ultimate in bankside luxury with an extra-long extended back section to protect your neck and head from chilling winds.
