There’s lots to like about the wonderful Wye and results have proved it

THE Wye Champs results prove beyond doubt that this is the nation’s greatest coarse fishing river.

Where else could you pick a swim that could throw up a huge catch of chub, then walk downstream and catch a big perch or a netful of dace?

The stretch in Hereford town centre has certain elements of a commercial. There’s plenty of parking a short walk away, and the large wooden platforms offer the comfort and convenience that many anglers want. I’m sure these alone would tempt some people to have their first dabble on a river.
