MOST people who have never been fishing before normally start their angling career with something modest such as a small roach, rudd or perch – but not Daisy Sidwell. She went in at the deep end with this 4lb bream!

The eight-year-old took a trip to Stonnes Fishery in Kent with her dad in a bid to catch a few carp, bream and silverfish.

Using maggots on the hook, it wasn’t long before Daisy’s rod sprang into life, and after a short but exciting scrap, her first-ever fish was safely in the landing net.
