The Top Lake is up to 12ft deep but shallow fishing still works. Set your rig at about 6ft and keep pinging pellets over the top, fishing a 6mm version on a bait band. There’s no better time to target the skimmers on the Lambsdown Lake. Feed two lines at 11m and 8m with dampened micro pellets and maggots and use a 4mm expander pellet, a kernel of corn or single maggot on the hook for plenty of skimmers to 3lb.
