CLOUDY BAIT WAS CRUCIAL
I took plenty of casters, worms and maggots but ended up not needing lots of bait.
If you were on a lot of fish you could attack the peg with a bit of bait, but I found it much safer to feed just groundbait, slightly overwetted so it formed a cloud.
I’d add a pinch of very finely chopped worms every so often if I felt the swim needed an injection of bait or the fish were too small.
For groundbait I had a mix of Dynamite Frenzied Hemp Black, Van Den Eynde G5 and brown crumb. This mix has a fairly high food content but I fed very little in the way of particles.
