The New Match Lake has been fishing well despite the cold conditions, and anglers have been catching plenty of carp and silverfish in bags over 40lb. Red maggot netted a 24lb bag of silvers for one angler on the Pleasure lake recently. Over on the Big Pit, perch to 3lb 6oz have been falling to anglers fishing worm and maggot in the margins.
