Corn skins are a wonder bait here – fish these slow-sinking baits up to the island or down the track on the deck for the best results, and expect bites on the drop, even at this late stage of the season. Plenty of hard-fighting stillwater barbel and shaols of skimmers are available from the Moat Pool close in to the bank as well. Fish casters and worms here for winter nets to over 30lb.
