SLOW THE BAIT DOWN
When you are using top and bottom attached floats like sticks and Bolos, always try to slow the hookbait down as this will result in many more bites than just running the floats through at the speed of the current. There are various ways to do this. You can ease the float through by feeding the line slowly off the spool, ‘backwind’ the rig down, or fish with a centrepin reel.
