FISH OF A LIFETIME!

I MENTIONED my 2lb 2oz roach from the River Wye last week. Well, here it is, caught on the second day of the Hereford Angling Festival.

The river had come up 3ft from the previous day and was carrying a lot of colour in the form of sediment. Running line gear was never going to work under these conditions, so I elected to use a 10g flat float with lobworms for bait.

A small piece of lobworm tail on a size 12 hook brought me five decent roach, with this beauty being the pick of the bunch!
