Brute best of a 48-hour hit

A 48-HOUR session at a Berkshire club water produced four superb carp for Marcus Howarth, topped by a 43lb 12oz cracker known as The Brute.

Fishing to a silty gully at 50 yards, the 29-year-old from Wimborne in Dorset used a balanced maggot rig over a bed of crumbed Sticky Manilla boilies mixed with maggots.

Marcus added commons of 25lb 15oz and 32lb 6oz, plus a 29lb 8oz mirror.
