Pike meets pike, and Pike wins the day!
APTLY-named Lyla Pike had a brilliant session on the Nottingham Canal, banked her-first ever namesake in the shape of this 7lb 2oz specimen.
Fishing the Castle Marina stretch, Lyla and her dad Kane opted to cast a pungent deadbait between the near bank and a moored canal boat, and they didn’t have to wait long before the slimline predator was hooked and raging through the swim.
After a short but nervy scrap, six-year-old Lyla had her prize safely in the net. Congratulations Lyla!
