MAKINS FISHERY, WOLVEY, WARKS THE carp are still feeding well across all three phases at Makins and some anglers have been catching 80lb of them by fishing corn on the feeder into open water. Chris Hinsley took this 7lb mirror (below) during his recent trip, feeding lightly in the cold conditions.

Lake 5 on Phase 2 is a good place to target carp to 12lb as there’s a single island and plenty of open water to target.

Fish a Method feeder loaded with damp micros around 2m from this island to catch.
