WORK YOUR SWIM

-

Often bites will come in flurries, with two or three fish followed by periods of inactivity. This suggests to me that the fish are moving around and not settling to feed. If you can use two rods it is always worth keeping one on the banker spot, while moving the other around the swim. Give it anything up to an hour before trying a different spot. With this rod use just the hookbait with a small PVA stick attached, as you don’t want to be spreading bait all around the swim.
